Project Description: |
The comprehensive Sports Medicine outreach program would be a venture under an inclusive umbrella for a center of excellence for Sports Medicine outreach, research and education. The comprehensive Sports Medicine outreach program could be developed with a multi-pronged multi-disciplinary (sports medicine, orthopaedic spine, human performance) mission: (1) Athletic training education and services assigned to each high school (dependent on need), Junior College and University encompassed in the regions from Escambia to Levy counties; (2) Athletic training education and services assigned to each of the 8 military instillations (dependent on need) housed in North Florida, (3) development of an institute structure for educational conferences and seminars to address a multitude of local, regional, and national health related issues; (4) A multi-disciplinary research agenda to address the research interest of the consortium; (5) A comprehensive multi-disciplinary fellowship program.
A detailed proposal is available on request.
