This bill provides $360,000 for the relief of Ashraf Kamel and Marguerite Dimitri. Their handicapped, 14-year old son, Jean, was a student at Conniston Middle School. The school failed to protect him from another student who shot and killed him while he was on the sidewalk in front of the school.
If approved by the Governor, or allowed to become law without the Governor's signature, these provisions take effect upon becoming law.
