SB 1788: Vehicle Accident/Failure to Stop

GENERAL BILL by Jones

Vehicle Accident/Failure to Stop; redefines offense of unlawful failure to stop or remain at scene of such accident; provides circumstances under which person who knew or should have known accident occurred commits such offense, regardless of whether person knew at time of accident that injury or death resulted; redefines term "victim injury" for purposes of sentencing person who commits such offense, etc. Amends 316.027, 775.089, 921.0021; reenacts 921.0022.
