SB 1968: State Correctional System
GENERAL BILL by Burt
State Correctional System; authorizes board of county commissioners & certain private vendors to operate correctional facilities to house out-of-state inmates; prohibits board or vendor from accepting out-of-state inmates convicted of certain specified offenses; requires that offender be returned to sending state before release; authorizes use of inmate labor in constructing correctional facility, etc. Amends Ch. 957, 944.40; creates 944.185; repeals 944.711.
