GENERAL BILL by General Government Appropriations ; Law Enforcement & Public Safety ; Ziebarth ; Fischer ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Heyman ; Wiles ; Crist

Kelly Johnson Act/Boating Safety; creates said act; redefines term "authorized emergency vehicles" to include reference to vehicles of DEP; revises provisions re operation of vessel while under influence; restores penalty for refusal to submit to chemical or physical testing; prohibits operation of vessels by persons under age 21 who have consumed alcoholic beverages; encourages boaters to have "designated driver" who does not consume alcoholic bev., etc. Amends Ch. 327, 316.003.

Effective Date: 05/29/1998 except as otherwise provided
