GENERAL BILL by Children and Families ; Health, Aging and Long-Term Care ; Brown-Waite

Florida Consumer-Directed Care Act; creates said act; provides legislative findings & intent; requires AHCA & Elderly Affairs to submit plan to Governor & Legislature for reducing nursing-home-bed days funded under Medicaid program; requires AHCA to establish nursing facility preadmission screening program; requires Elderly Affairs Dept. & AHCA to implement nursing home transition program, etc. Amends Chs. 400, 409, 408, 430, 641.
