GENERAL BILL by Health Regulation ; Jones ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dockery ; Diaz de la Portilla ; Storms ; Lawson ; King ; Deutch
Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities [SPCC]; Cites this act as the "Long-Term Care Transparency Act." Revises provisions relating to license applications for nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Authorizes the expenditure of funds from the Quality of Long-Term Care Facility Improvement Trust Fund for the development of an electronic Nursing Home Guide. Prohibits nursing home and assisted living facility liability insurance from paying for certain legal costs, etc.
Effective Date: 07/01/2008 except as otherwise provided
