GENERAL BILL by Commerce ; Garcia

Household Moving Services [CPSC]; Provides for the biennial renewal of mover and moving broker registrations. Authorizes the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to extend registration expiration dates to establish staggered dates. Authorizes a mover to exclude liability for household goods packed by the shipper under certain circumstances. Provides for local registration and bonding. Exempts local business taxes from preemption, etc.
