GENERAL BILL by Governmental Oversight and Accountability ; Storms ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Smith

Adult Protective Services [SPSC]; Requires that the central abuse hotline, which is maintained by the Department of Children and Family Services, immediately transfer reports relating to vulnerable adults to the appropriate county sheriff's office. Authorizes the department to file a petition to determine incapacity. Prohibits the department from acting as guardian or providing legal counsel to the guardian, etc.
