SB 7054: Consumer Credit Protection

PROPOSED BILL by Banking and Insurance

Consumer Credit Protection; Expands the authority of the Attorney General to take action against out-of-state consumer debt collectors. Provides that a violation of provisions relating to consumer debt collectors is a violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. Prohibits a credit counseling organization from engaging in certain additional specified acts, etc.
