Student Discipline in Public Schools; Revising provisions relating to the rights of parents and public school students; prohibiting the use of corporal punishment as a form of discipline; deleting the definition of the term “corporal punishment” to conform to changes made by the act; deleting provisions relating to the authority of teachers to administer corporal punishment; revising the duties of district school boards and the code of student conduct relating to the control and discipline of students; deleting provisions relating to the authority of principals to administer corporal punishment, etc.
