HB 1159: Sexual Offenses

Sexual Offenses ; Provides for reclassification of child pornography offense if offender possesses a certain number of files of any child pornography; provides for reclassification of child pornography offense if offender possesses at least one file containing prepubescent child; removes provision relating to reclassification of certain offense; requires mandatory minimum sentences for certain reclassified offenses; revises mandatory minimum sentences for certain sexual offenses by persons previously convicted of sexual offenses; requires mandatory minimum sentences for certain offenses; prohibits person from employing, authorizing, or inducing child younger than 12 years of age to engage in sexual performance; increases penalty for knowingly soliciting, possessing, controlling, or intentionally viewing certain materials that include child pornography; increases penalty for intentionally creating generated child pornography; revises punishments for certain sexual activities involving animals; requires certain court order to be effective for certain number of years; provides that prohibition of certain acts in connection with obscene, lewd, etc., materials does not apply to certain persons; prohibits a person from knowingly granting another person access to child pornography or generated child pornography in certain manner; requires mandatory minimum sentences for certain offenses; ranks offenses on offense severity ranking chart of Criminal Punishment Code.
