GENERAL BILL by Election Reform ; Diaz de la Portilla

Truth in Voting Act of 1998; provides short title; provides that supervisors of elections shall provide info to property appraisers re homestead exemptions; requires supervisors to provide for certain training in handwriting comparison; requires Elections Division to compare info in central voter file with other computer databases for sole purpose of determining voter eligibility; revises form of voter's certificate, etc. Amends Chs. 97, 98, 101, 102, 104, 163, 196.
