GENERAL BILL by Flanagan ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Turnbull ; Burroughs ; Morroni ; Dockery ; Horan ; Sindler ; Sanderson ; Fasano

Juvenile Offenders/Boot Camps; provides for funding for boot camps operated by department, county, or municipal government, contingent upon specific appropriation, local funding, or state & local funding; requires boot camps operated by sheriff to be under his or her supervisory jurisdiction & authority as determined by contract between dept. & sheriff; provides appropriation to Eckerd Youth Alternatives prog., Juvenile Justice Dept., & Elderly Affairs Dept., etc. Amends 985.309. APPROPRIATION: $2,263,900.

Effective Date: 07/01/1998 except ss. 1 & 2 take effect 10/01/1998
