SB 588: Unlawful Possession of Firearm

GENERAL BILL by Silver ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Gutman

Unlawful Possession of Firearm; provides enhanced penalty for unlawful possession of firearm by minor; requires that minor who commits such offense serve mandatory period of detention in secure detention facility in addition to certain other sanctions; provides requirements for community service that court orders minor to perform as sanction for unlawfully possessing firearm or for committing offense that involves use or possession of firearm. Amends 790.22.
