SB 816: Judicial Terms & Limitations

JOINT RESOLUTION by Horne

Judicial Terms & Limitations; constitutional amendment shortening terms of supreme court justices & district courts of appeal judges from six to four years & prohibits supreme court justice or judge of district court of appeal from seeking retention in office if he or she will have served eight consecutive years in that judicial office when new term begins. Amends s. 10, Art. V, s. 4, Art. VI.
