GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Saunders ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dyer
Victim Assistance & Compensation; provides that victim & state attorney have standing to assert rights of crime victim; prescribes eligibility criteria for awards granted under specific provision; allows department to establish, by rule, maximum award amounts that are lower than statutory maximums; allows department to award to victim of domestic violence sum of money which victim may use for relocating, etc. Amends Ch. 960.
