CS/SB 1588: Domestic Violence/Mediation
GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Grant
Domestic Violence/Mediation; provides that court may not refer case involving domestic violence to mediation except under specified conditions; provides legislative intent; requires court to assess whether domestic violence is present among parties; provides factors that court may consider in such assessment; conforms provisions; clarifies application of privilege of communications made in mediation. Creates 44.1021; amends 44.102,.201.
