HB 2045: Civil Actions Against Insurers
GENERAL BILL by Patterson
Civil Actions Against Insurers; provides that insurer that has offered in writing to insured that it will pay its applicable policy limits as directed by insured has no duty to settle claims under requirements of section; provides that insurer is liable for damages not covered by its policy or damages exceeding its policy limits only if insurer's conduct was proximate cause of damage, etc. Amends 624.155; repeals 627.736(4)(f).
