SB 2230: Health Insurance/Point of Service

GENERAL BILL by Klein

Health Insurance/Point of Service; authorizes point of service policies under arrangements between health insurers & HMOs; establishes subscriber's bill of rights to serve as standards for certain purposes; prohibits HMO from excluding covered service if subscriber is receiving noncovered service in conjunction therewith; requires certain notice to group member subscribers prior to effective date of cancellation, etc. Amends Chs. 627, 641.
