CS/CS/SB 338: Kayla McKean Child Protection Act
GENERAL BILL by Fiscal Policy ; Children and Families ; Cowin
Kayla McKean Child Protection Act; creates said act; requires that judge report known or suspected child abuse; provides additional requirements for dept. re recording calls on central abuse hotline; creates State Child Abuse Death Review Committee; provides for counties to establish local child abuse death review committees; increases penalties imposed for offense of aggravated child abuse; authorizes central abuse hotline to record incoming wire communications, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $3,679,687.
