Forestry/Champion Trees; defines "champion tree" & "candidate champion tree" for purposes of act; requires Forestry Div. of Agriculture & Consumer Services Dept. to develop & maintain registry of champion & candidate champion trees; requires protection of proposed champion & proposed candidate champion trees during specified periods; prohibits trimming & pruning of such trees; provides exceptions; provides civil fines & remedies, etc.
Effective Date: Upon becoming law
