GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Brown-Waite ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Burt
State Correctional Facility/Smoking; requires DOC & private vendors operating state correctional facilities to make smoking-cessation assistance available to inmates; requires full implementation of act by specified date; prohibits inmate within said facility from using tobacco products in prohibited areas; prohibits employees or visitors from using tobacco products in prohibited areas; provides penalties; authorizes dept. to adopt rules, etc. Creates 944.115.
Effective Date: Upon becoming law
