SB 118: Correctional Facilities

GENERAL BILL by Meek ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Thomas ; Dyer ; Campbell ; Rossin ; Mitchell ; Sullivan ; Cowin

Correctional Facilities; prohibits DOC or CFS Dept. from locating state correctional institution or facility for sexually violent predators within specified distance from public or private school, child care facility, or place where children congregate; requires CFS Dept., in proposing site for said facility, to request local government to determine compliance with local plans & ordinances; authorizes CFS Dept. to appeal decision of local govt. to Governor & Cabinet, etc.
