GENERAL BILL by Family Law & Children ; Roberts-Burke ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Wallace ; Brown ; Effman ; Detert

Uniform Child Custody; creates "Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction & Enforcement Act"; specifies proceedings not governed by act; provides application to Indian tribes & international application of act; provides for initial child custody jurisdiction & for exclusive, continuing jurisdiction; provides for enforcement under Hague Convention & for recognition of enforcement orders of court of another state, etc. Amends Ch. 61, 39.502, 741.30.
