HB 561: Florida Safety Belt Law
GENERAL BILL by Cantens ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Greenstein ; Rubio ; Hill
Florida Safety Belt Law; provides that number of passengers of motor vehicle required to wear safety belt shall not exceed number of safety belts which were installed in motor vehicle by manufacturer; revises Fla. Safety Belt Law to eliminate requirement that law be enforced as secondary action when driver of motor vehicle has been detained for another violation; provides restrictions on authority to search based on safety belt violation. Amends 316.614.
