CS/HB 147: DNA Evidence

GENERAL BILL by Council for Healthy Communities ; Ball ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Cantens ; Weissman ; Arza ; Paul ; Heyman ; Haridopolos ; Fiorentino

DNA Evidence; provides for examination of DNA evidence collected at time crime is investigated; provides procedure under which defendant who has been found guilty or who has pled guilty or nolo contendere may petition trial court to order examination of DNA evidence; provides that defendant waives any objection to introduction of DNA test results in any future proceeding; provides certain time limitations, etc.
