CS/SB 1966: Cardiac Arrest Survival Act

GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Sullivan ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Klein

Cardiac Arrest Survival Act; creates said act; provides immunity from liability for certain persons who use automated external defibrillators under certain circumstances; repeals certain provision re Good Samaritan Act, to delete reference to use of said defibrillator in certain emergency situations; directs Health Dept., with assistance from DMS, to adopt rules to establish guidelines on appropriate placement & deployment of defibrillator devices, etc. Amends Chs. 768, 401.
