GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Banking and Insurance ; Smith

Workers' Compensation; specifies circumstances under which firefighters, emergency medical technicians, & paramedics are considered to be acting within scope of their employment so as to qualify for workers' compensation benefits; expands provisions of law re disability in line of duty to include all law enforcement officers & certain correctional officers; revises criteria for anti-fraud program, etc. Amends Ch. 440, 489.114,.510, 112.18, 626.9892.
