CS/SB 302: Juvenile Detention

GENERAL BILL by Children and Families ; Burt

Juvenile Detention; authorizes court to continue to hold juvenile in detention if court finds that juvenile is a clear & present danger to himself or herself; requires that court specify by written order need for & benefits derived from continued detention; requires that Juvenile Justice Estimating Conference submit report to Legislature concerning effect of act on juvenile justice system & on number of juveniles held in detention, etc. Amends 985.215.
