GENERAL BILL by Council for Smarter Government ; Gardiner ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Harrell ; Negron ; Stansel ; Waters ; Kilmer ; Gannon ; Melvin ; Green ; Sobel ; Paul ; Benson

Use of "Chamber of Commerce" Term; provides definitions; prohibits certain business entities from using term chamber of commerce under certain circumstances; provides exemptions for certain entities in existence on or before October 1, 1992; provides penalty; limits application of requirements; authorizes chambers of commerce to sue certain business entities to enjoin use of such term. Creates 501.97.
