CS/SB 1140: Medication/Administering to Children

GENERAL BILL by Children and Families ; Cowin ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Wise ; Wilson

Medication/Administering to Children; provides that refusal of parent, legal guardian, or other person responsible for child's welfare to administer or consent to administration of any psychotropic medication to child does not, in & of itself, constitute grounds for dept. to take child into custody; prohibits specified persons working in certain facilities from administering medications to child without written authorization of child's parent or legal guardian, etc. Amends FS.
