SB 1734: Constitutional Amendments/Initiative

JOINT RESOLUTION by Campbell

Constitutional Amendments/Initiative; constitutional amendment that would reserve to electors right to propose law by initiative process & approve it by referendum; requires that for constitutional amendments proposed by initiative, necessary number of signatures be collected within 12-month period; increases number of signatures required; increases vote required for ratification from majority to three-fifths of those voting on proposal, etc. Amends Arts. III, IV, XI.
