Alpha-1 Awareness Month; recognizes May 2004 as "Alpha-1 Awareness Month" in Florida, & encourages all who reside in this state to become knowledgeable about cause of the disorder, its symptoms, & diagnostic procedures most likely to lead to early detection & appropriate treatment.
