CS/CS/HB 493: Service of Process
GENERAL BILL by Simmons
Service of Process; deletes requirement to use certified mail in service of subpoena on witness in specified cases; prohibits finding of contempt for failure to appear in response to subpoena that is not delivered by certified mail; allows posting of criminal witness subpoena under specified conditions; authorizes party who had distress writ issued to deliver writ to sheriff in another county, etc. Amends Ch. 48, 83.13, 624.307, 832.07, 409.257.
