SB 634: Indigent Care Surtax
GENERAL BILL by Argenziano ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lynn
Indigent Care Surtax; authorizes certain counties to levy by ordinance, subject to referendum approval, a surtax to fund trauma services provided by certain licensed trauma centers; requires ordinance to provide plan for providing such services; limits rate of surtax; allows small counties having specified population to levy indigent care surtax; provides uses of surtax; provides maximum tax rate, etc. Amends 212.055.
