CS/SB 1100: Theft

GENERAL BILL by Transportation ; Lynn

Theft; provides that theft of property that has been deployed by law enforcement officer is grand theft in first degree; provides criminal penalties; provides that it is second-degree felony to possess or use fifth wheel to commit or attempt to commit theft; classifies offense of stealing property deployed by said officer under offense severity ranking chart of Criminal Punishment Code, etc. Amends Chs. 812, 921; reenacts 985.227(1)(a).
