GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Baker ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Crist ; Posey
Offender & Murderer Registration; exempts murderer who has registered under another provision of law from certain registration requirements; requires sheriff to secure & distribute photo & fingerprints of registered murderer; provides for DOC to adopt guidelines governing registration as murderer & dissemination of information; requires clerk of court to collect, & distribute to DOC, fingerprints of murderer who is not sentenced to prison, etc. Amends Chs. 775, 944.
