CS/HB 1239: Inappropriate Corporal Discipline

GENERAL BILL by Detert ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Bucher ; Goldstein ; Grant ; Porth ; Sobel

Inappropriate Corporal Discipline; includes inappropriate or excessively harsh corporal discipline in definition of "criminal conduct" for purposes of protective investigations; defines said discipline; prohibits parents, legal custodians, or caregivers from inflicting said discipline; includes offenses involving said discipline within offense severity ranking chart of Criminal Punishment Code, etc. Amends 39.301, 921.0022; creates 827.032.
