GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Smith ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Crist

Youth Custody Officers; authorizes youth custody officer to take youth into custody if officer has probable cause to believe that youth has escaped from facility operated by or under contract with DJJ or has absconded from supervision of dept.; authorizes said officer to file certain criminal charges & gather evidence for court; revises provision concerning officer informing local law enforcement agencies of his or her activities. Amends 985.2075.
