SB 1902: Stalking/Civil Action

GENERAL BILL by Smith

Stalking/Civil Action; provides that claimant may bring civil action in circuit court for damages against person for stalking; requires claimant to prove claim by preponderance of evidence; requires civil action for stalking be commenced within 2 years after conduct giving rise to claim; provides that remedies provided by act are not exclusive & are cumulative to any other remedies, civil or criminal, provided by law, etc. Amends 784.048.
