SB 2464: County Discretionary Sales Surtaxes

GENERAL BILL by Margolis ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Wilson ; Rich ; Villalobos ; Diaz de la Portilla ; Bullard

County Discretionary Sales Surtaxes; allows each charter county to levy voter-approved surtax for community college in county; provides restrictions on source of expenses for referendum re this surtax; provides purposes for which proceeds of surtax may be used; provides for automatic expiration of such surtax unless it is reenacted by ordinance; provides that other funding may not be reduced because said college has received such proceeds, etc. Amends 212.055.
