CS/HB 7125: Medical Records

GENERAL BILL by Health Care Regulation Committee ; Garcia ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Homan ; Sobel

Medical Records; requires health care practitioner's employer who is records owner & records custodian to comply with specified requirements for confidentiality & disclosure; provides requirements for prescriptions of medicinal drugs by said practitioners that are electronically generated & transmitted; provides that payors or providers are not limited from implementing utilization management tools, etc. Amends Chs. 456, 381.028, 465.025; creates 456.43.
