SB 1596: Residential Tenancies [EPCC]

Residential Tenancies [EPCC]; (THIS BILL COMBINED IN CS/S2730 & S1596) revises definition of "rental agreement"; authorizes landlord to terminate rental agreement & recover liquidated damages for breach of agreement or charge tenant early termination fee, or both, under certain circumstances; provides limit on combined total damages & fee; requires tenant to indicate acceptance of early termination fee or liquidated damages provision in rental agreement, etc. Amends Ch. 83.
