Diabetes/Education, Screening, & Medical Treatment [SPCC]; urges health care providers in this state to adopt generally recognized clinical practice guidelines, such as goals from American Diabetes Assoc., recommendations & standards that identify reduction of body mass index (BMI), cardiovascular risk issues, & glycemic control as key factors in managing diabetes.
