GENERAL BILL by Bennett

Alcohol Abuse/Expectant Mothers [SPCC]; Directs the DOH to develop a public education program to provide information regarding fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Directs DOH in conjunction with DCFS to develop and maintain a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Prevention Network. Provides for voluntary and involuntary admission of an expectant mother for alcohol abuse treatment services. Specifies who may request emergency admission, petition the court for involuntary assessment, etc. APPROPRIATION: $17,663,000.
