GENERAL BILL by Wilson
Public Schools/Reading Lab for Grades 1-3 [SPCC]; Requires each student who is entering kindergarten through third grade to be assessed in reading proficiency and, if reading below grade level, be placed into an intensive reading lab. Requires that each student be reassessed in the middle and at the end of each school year. Encourages the principal to ask for donations of funds or materials for the lab. Requires the principal to hire teachers, or secure training for teachers, etc.
