CS/CS/SB 1696: Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics [SPCC]
GENERAL BILL by Health and Human Services Appropriations ; Health Regulation ; Baker
Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics [SPCC]; Changes the composition of the Board of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Expands the authority for rule adoption to include standards of practice for orthotic fitters, orthotic fitter assistants, and residents. Provides for registration for a resident to practice orthotics or prosthetics. Repeals a provision relating to the issuance of a temporary license. Revises duties that can be delegated to unlicensed support personnel, etc.
Effective Date: 07/01/2008 except as otherwise provided
