GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Villalobos ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Ring ; Gaetz ; Lynn ; Dockery
Truth in Government Act/Legislature [LPCC]; Eliminates authority for members of a legislative committee to administer certain oaths and affirmations to witnesses. Requires persons who address a legislative committee to take an oath or affirmation of truthfulness. Authorizes the use of a signed appearance card in lieu of an oral oath or affirmation. Provides for penalties for making a false statement after signing the card, etc.
