CS/SB 300: Service of Process [LPCC]

GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Crist

Service of Process [LPCC]; Increases the fees charged by the sheriff in civil cases for service of process from $20 to $40. Deletes a prohibition on additional fees for alias and pluries documents when service was not effected on the original document in the county of original request by that sheriff. Provides that criminal witness subpoenas and criminal summonses may be served by a special process server appointed by the local sheriff or by a certified process server, etc.
